Found this at a Sydney newsagent. Warhammer 40000 'Conquest' starter kit for $5. Includes:

  • 3 x Primaris Space Marine Intercessor Miniatures
  • 3 x Paints - Abaddon Black, Retributor Armour, Macragge Blue
  • 1 x Brush - Citadel Starter Brush

Compared to offical cost:
* Minatures: $25
* Paints: $6.40ea = $19.20
* Brush: Can't buy separately but maybe $5-10

More details at the link, but the site forces a subscription which is less of a bargain compared to the newsagency as each issue gets more expensive.

                @jikijiki: I got charged last night.

                I spoke to English customer service guys and they are getting smashed. Give the Aussie number a call and chat to them in the UK.

              @pronoun: So, I got my 2nd shipment canceled after taking payment for first order. They told me I can order any single issues I want for just $1 shipping, so ima grab some of the HQ units.

                @Nalar: I received a reply email that said that my first delivery will be issues 1,2,3 with assembly pack. Since then I’ve received my first direct debit notice; which is for issues 4,5,6,7… I assume they are extremely over busy at the moment and I intend to just take the time, get the issues I want, then call and cancel, then return the ones I don’t want.

                  @pronoun: Even if you cancel you can always just cherry pick issues, the dark imperium issues are a bit shit, but you can get some cheap HQ units for $20.

                    @Nalar: I only want issues 1,2,3 with the free modelling kit. I just don’t want to cancel my subscription until I know I will get that. Then I will cancel.
                    Once I actually get issues 1,2,3 with the modelling kit, and give to my nephew, and wait for feedback… then I might cherry pick some issues in the future :)

    Has anyone here got their stuff yet? I got a parcel for issues 2 and 3 but nothing else even though I was charged $80 + $20.

        I got 2/3 + Glue and the invoice says issue 1 and file/snips is on back order.

        Then I got File/snips sent separately, still no issue 1.

            @jikijiki: I rang them up and canceled my sub so I'm only getting 1-3 + gifts. They told me I can just order any single issues I like without subscribing.

      TBH I haven't tried because they still havent delivered my issue 1 yet (just 2+3)

        Yeah, lesson learnt by me. I ordered when the OP made the original post back in April. Only got my issues 4-7 last week.

        Their customer service is garbage, no response to emails, lying about stock levels, never again.
