Cashback Credit Card Applications Vs Uneven Credit Score Reductions

I like credit card cashback deals…

Sept 2018 - credit score 985

Oct 2018 - Applied for the CBA Low Rate promo card, credit limit $1,000.

Nov 2018 - credit score 917 (down 68pts)

Dec 2018 - got $250 intended cashback, settled bill, closed card account online.

Feb 2019 - credit score 917

Mar 2019 - Applied for the Westpac Low Rate promo card, credit limit $1,000.

Apr 2019 - credit score 868 (down 49pts)

May 2019 (planned) - once $200 cashback credited, settle bill, close card account online.

Question: can anyone suggest why the CBA card application reduced 68pts, whilst the Westpac only 49pts, for the same credit limit?
