Having just been to the sale suits come in 2 categories Blue Label ($249) or White Label ($349) suits (corresponding to the colour of the label inside the suit). Blue Label suits usually go for around $600 full price.

Shirts are all $49 with most of them being $109 full retail price.

  • Is it worth a look?

I think it is… at $249 for a whole suit that is pretty good quality and fits well I think its a good bargain.

milesandbos, Ive bought 2 sits in the last three years(don't wear suits much), from MJ Bale, and I get a lot of compliments… ( I don't think I'm good looking at all by the way), I am size 32 -34 (height approx 175-176cm.

In my opinion the best suits Ive ever bought, I nearly bought a Hugo Boss for just under $1500.00, from DJs in Melb. CBD, I decided to think about it, went to MJ Bale and Im glad I did. Pretty good quality IMO, well worth the price, at the time I paid around 700-800 with a shirt and tie on a 20 or 25% off sale, At this prices well worth it, again… IMHO.

      • Thanks guys. Will have a squizz tomorrow on my lunch break.

  • Is there ability to try them etc.? since it's in a warehouse.

Also what's the difference between blue and white label suits?

    • +1

Yep they have these tents setup at the back for you to try. Only problem I had is it's quite dark in the warehouse so hard to see the colours correctly.

I asked the sales guy there on the differences and he said blue label is polyester lined (less breathable), slightly lower quality material, and non-functioning sleeve buttons. Both types are half-canvas.

Selection was quite good last night and the salesperson there said they were not restocking throughout the week.

  • Meant to go today but will drop in tomorrow. prices aren't hugely better than what you get in sales and there have been similar bargains at DFO stores so don't stress if you don't get a chance

The Classic label jackets can be extremely good value. $149 for a Loro Piana fabric jacket is very appealing (I got one in the Sydney sale). Retail is $600+.

  • went in today, plenty of stock left especially if you're after a suits and trousers with checks and other patterns.

Stand alone jackets were mostly linen based ones

Got a suit, most of them have patterns. You might have trouble finding the correct sizes for the plain ones so get in quick…
