    What an insult

which bit of the deal has insulted you?

Or do you work for dealmonkey and are trying to drive traffic to the site?

  • You are buying a voucher for $2 and to get any value, you have to buy two courses for two people. Plus any drinks. And risk getting crap service merely because you are saving $18 on a bill that'll probably be about $100.

No I don't work there, I just don't want anyone to put their hard earned on something when they don't realise what they have to do to get a crappy $18 discount.

  • I guess…. although, if I had planned to go there, and have a starter and main….. $18 off is better than a poke in the eye….

  • +1

i guess it's essentially a minimum spend requirement, along with

Groups bookings are welcome - e.g. Three couples could use 3 vouchers.

Multiple vouchers CANNOT be used by the one family - e.g. Two adults and two children with 2 vouchers.

(ie. presumably because children won't spend as much as adults)

which makes the marketing of this deal as a "HUGE 90% SAVING" very misleading! (or an outright lie, depending on your take…)

    • Yes, anyone considering any deal monkey deal should remember this and very very carefully read the restrictions.

It is really irritating that most of these deals are now requiring two people even when the deal is for anything off the menu. I bought one deal that was for $60 of anything. I went in between some things I had going on. Had three glasses of sparkling and a tiny cheese plate (very high quality though) and was very happy. Their new vouchers require at least two people per voucher. I bought some, but will only use them for pre dinner drinks before going to some other place. I want to be able to go in, have a quality experience without having to shout or drag someone else along. This is one of the few instances where having a kid comes in handy. I'll buy her a muffic and a glass of tap water and get myself a few drinks.
