I have 50,000 AmEx points and and with the devaluation on 15 April am not sure what to do with them. These have taken about 18 months to accrue so I don't accrue at great rate.
Is there any program that it would be worth transferring this number of points to or should I just cash them out for Gift Cards even though I know this is not the best use of points in terms of value?
Not sure of travel plans in next year or so but don't think 50,000 would go very far.
My understanding is that they don't do AMEX—>QFF anymore and you can only do QFF through the AMEX QFF cards.
Unless I'm missing a way to do it? (This is a hopeless plea for those playing at home)
They do if you have Plat Charge card. I just transferred all my points to Qantas.

I cashed mine in for Amazon gift cards.
I realised I don't put enough through the card to make it worth hanging onto now that the points are being devalued.
I converted mine to velocity - i think they have longer/no expiry? Check points hacks, they have a million articles about it.
use point to pay parts of the bill is the best value. 1000pts = $7.41 until 14/4/19 then from 15/4/19 1000pts = $5 advise by customer service
Convert it to QFF or Velocity if you can and then sell it on OZB at 1.2c a piece.
