Do RACQ E-Saver Movie Tickets work for sessions that say NFT (no free tickets) at Event Cinemas?

Hi Ozbargain,

I have been pondering whether to buy VMax e-saver tickets through RACQ to see Avengers Endgame at Event Cinemas, but the concern I have is that all the sessions have 'NFT' (no free tickets) - but I am wondering if RACQ e-saver tickets count as "free tickets"?

Has anyone successfully used e-saver RACQ tickets at NFT sessions?

Here is the link to the e-savers, I personally cant determine from the terms and conditions whether they count as free tickets, technically you pay for them right?

NFT

Link to explanation of NFT at event cinemas: https://support.eventcinemas.com.au/article/285-what-does-nf…

The above says : Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers can be used for films with NFT restrictions.

I figured I would just reach out to the forum here and see if anyone has suscessfully done it. And while I am at it, any tips for cheap movie tickets upon release? I love to see new movies that interest me before too many spoilers get out, so I usually manage to get standard adult tickets at my local cinema for about $10-$12 with cinebuzz club, but you have to see the movie within 1-2 weeks before they downgrade the film to the smaller theatres at that cinema.

Thanks!

Yes - NFT is a restriction on free tickets only.

Given discounted vouchers through RACV/NRMA/RACQ etc. are not free vouchers (you have to pay for them), they are valid for NFT films subject to the conditions of the voucher itself.

I have just purchased on RACQ website and used RACQ Movie Tickets - Super Saver Movie Tickets for Avengers: Endgame in Event Cinemas!

So as KaptnKaos said, no problem.

  • Thanks to all! I managed to use e-savers for securing some tickets on the 2nd day. Excited. Muchly appreciate the assist.
