What Is The Easiest Software That Will Help Me Design My Logo

Hi all, I have a logo for my business that I have used for a few years. It looks a bit old needs a bit of refreshing and doing up.

At the time I just used something like powerpoint or paint to create the logo and obviously it distorts, I can't pick a new colour or anything.

I want a software where I can design it without distortion and that I can resize it as I like.

Should I just pay someone on gumtree $100 to do it or should I download a particular software and give it a go myself?

Do you have any design skills?

Judging by your username, you've got bigger issues than designing a logo

      no design skills lol

      Thanks Goku.

    • What do you mean by "design skills"? If I can draw a logo on a paper exactly as I want it to be, then it is just a matter of learning on how to use a software to draw the exact same thing, no?

It's not as easy as you think.. Or everyone would be doing it

he meant design, not coordination skill

Try Inkscape, cross-platform vector graphics editor.
But no matter what software you use, you still need to learn how to use it first.

All OzBargain logos and T-shirt designs were done on Inkscape :)

Don't even bother. Just get someone on fiverr.com or 99 designs

What's your logo? If I can I could make you a vector version and png assets for $100. It could help pay for my adobe subscription for a couple of months.

inkscape if you want a free program to make it as a vector graphic (that is a file format that allows you to increase image size without resolution problems).
you could pay a professional to do it/improve it.. i just say this as i have done a bit of work on airtasker and see some shocking ideas/designs from clients that they want to keep cause they made it…. if you go the paying for a designer path be careful on airtasker (there are way too many on their lately that use clip art and web templates)

what does your current logo look like (i can give you a good gauge of time required/budget.. and/or if it needs a redesign etc)

    • can you turn on messages

      • yep.. think i set it to accept msgs

  • Look for one of the logo companies doing cheap logos, they will make it vector based so you can shrink or enlarge it without loss of quality. If you have a budget this might be the best way, and you can get the logo 'enhanced'. They usually do about 8-12 mockups based on your info supplied (and the package you choose), and then you choose what you like (maybe colours from #3, font from #7 and layout from #10. They'll go back and tidy it up, and when you're happy send you the files.

I've used both fiverr and aussielogos.com.au before for clients when I haven't had time or skills to do the job, no issues :)

  • Fiverr.

  • Clipart that mother on some word art. Then .BMP it to billy-o.

  • https://hatchful.shopify.com/ Free to design (tho must register), only pay for premium logos. Even then, reasonable. Imho.
