I'm looking for counter height (~90cm or so) tables to use as a dual kitchen island/dining table - as I'm in a unit with minimal kitchen space and no dedicated dining room.
I found a lot on Wayfair overseas (https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/sb2/small-tall-kitchen-din…) but very few here locally - except for 100cm+ bar tables or outdoor styled ones. Are there known under a different name in Australia?
Why not just buy a normal table and put 870mm legs on it
Was just in Ikea yesterday and they have a few higher dining tables.
I had to do something similar in my first apartment and ended up buying a console table & added wheels so that it could be easily moved aside when not in use as space was at a premium.

Personally we bought on old industrial work bench that had been adapted. It has wheels and works well as an island bench for the kitchen. It might be worth looking at second hand office furniture to find a table that is adjustable.
What size did you need it to be? There are some bar type tables at Ikea.
