Gumtree Scam? - Osko transfer

I know people say Gumtree is always risky unless you're receiving cash, but I'm wondering if this is legit.

I recently listed an item for around $450. I had a buyer offer to pay me via PayPal. When I declined, they offered to do a bank transfer.

I accepted this, and it seems like the money cleared right away. On the transfer narration it says 'Osko Payment - Receipt XXX'.

Does this mean it's safe for me to send the item? Is there anyway the buyer can reverse the transaction?

if you can transfer the fund out of the account, I would say it is safe.

  Yep agree. When I do bank transfers online it now uses Osko by default.

As to whether it can be reversed, best check with your bank.

Yes Osko payment clears almost instantaneously. Usually they can do instant payment up to $1k.

Safe, Osko is part of the PayID systems, and is a instant transfer. He/She cannot claw the money back. Its safe to ship/drop off your item

  Unless fraud is involved. Then oh boy you're in for fun. Best case funds frozen for 7-30 days then cleared, worst case transaction reversed.

      Me personally, if it was over $100 and involved Gumtree - cash only.
