A Pack of Short Micro USB Cables That Can Handle Higher Amps

I've got a bunch of longer cables that do the job just fine but there's zero need for them to be that long and they just make things messy. I'd like to pack them all away in a draw to be used when needed and just have a bunch of 15-30cm cables.

Is there a decent quality, decently priced pack of 5-10 x 15-30cm micro USB cables that can handle do 2.4A?

You have to do something really wrong to not handle 2.4A over most standard USB cables. Assuming you mean 5V, too.

I've had good luck with https://www.blitzwolf.com/Micro-USB-Cables-c-89.html

Little bit more expensive but the cheaper short cables I've had have had really high resistance.

    • Yeah, 5V.

You've got me flip turned upside down with your first and last sentence there. Any short cable can do this. Also only get a more expensive one because the others can't do this :P

      • Yes, any short cable will work - if you've bought a cheap device off the net it probably came with one. What I'm saying is it won't do it efficiently.

The only time I've had problems with cables is when I'm running QuickCharge at 9 or 12V/1A+ over a cheaper cable.

        • My understanding of DC power is that thicker wires are required for higher amperage. Higher voltage and therefore lower amperage should mean cheaper, thinner wires do just fine…

          • @DonWilson: You're right, but I've long since thrown away that cable (it got noticeably warm) so I can't check what was going on.
