  • My kid loves this set. My biggest complaint is their choice to use 6xAAA batteries for the motor hub. Doesn't last long and is a pain to recharge.

    • Once they're up to Technic you've got options like BuWizz and S-Brick. I was kinda disappointed they didn't use the standard technic connections for this set, but I assumed they probably needed more comms than the standard technic connections, similar to the mindstorms/WeDo sets.

EDIT: Actually if you can get hold a WeDo set, that would probably be the step between this and WeDo

      • +1

I might have to try somethign like this for now

        • That looks like it might bridge the gap :)

Also I meant WeDo is midway between Boost and Technic.. but you probably figured that out. It also has a LiIon battery option.

    • Lego really need to release more reasonably priced rechargeable battery packs

  • Bought this earlier today. Forgot to post it up here, well done op. Proper excellent price, regardless of any cashback.

  • My boy loves this. Amazing price. I was happy to get ours for $180 about a year ago.
