I'm in the market for a new TV preferably 55" or bigger. It will be used for movies (chromecast), ps4 gaming and standard tv.
Any recommendations?

If I were in the market to buy one now I would be looking at the Sony X7500F and TCL P and Hisense P series depending on how wealthy you are feeling.
Sony is the most ideal but I could settle for the TCL and Hisense ones.
LG is ok but have had bad experiences in the past with their OS.
Kogan is very risque, kind of like shooting for Soniq or Brauhn basically budget screens come with a huge risk at the expense of a few hundred dollars that I don't like to take.
Between TCL and Hisense I lean towards Hisense mainly because all the good TCL screens are all in America so if you can somehow cheaply get it shipped from US you might have something here with the TCL range.
So Hisense for me.

There is also the Aldi 4k TVs that are sub $900 for 60-65 inches - not sure when they are on sale again though, so you may have to wait for a bit
