Geoffrey Beene Business Shirts

David Jones has a buy 2 get 30% off deal in their latest catalogue. In effect, you are paying $140 for 2 Geoffrey Beene Business Shirts ($70 each) compared to the usual $100 each. David Jones appears to have the Australia monopoly on GB business shirts. Does anyone know how to buy GB business shirts cheaper?

I have worn GB business shirts for over ten years and they are a high quality business shirt and durable so I am reluctant to change brands. However, I am open to other brand suggestions (of a similar quality) based on other's recommendations if they can be bought cheaper here or overseas.

  • These guys do a "buy 4 get 25% off" so depending on which shirt you get they would be about $67-75 each.

Totally agree about the GB shirts - I'll sound like a spokesperson but since I found them in NZ I only buy them… mostly cotton, little ironing, good quality and cut. Definitely my favourites. They also don't cost $200 each or something ridiculous.

I still have some GB's I bought in 2007 and wear every week since.

  • Yeah they are a good brand. I love R.M. Williams (for the Australian spirit) which I haven't seen on special for a while. One of the best is rhodes and beckett and they are often half price at Myer (possibly David Jones?) or outlets ($75 down from $150).

Jeff Banks have some really good ones (not all though) and should be around $50 on special at Myer.

  • Thanks for your suggestions. I usually buy my GB shirts at the January and June DJ sales but I have been finding that unless you go to the DJ card-holders night, my size 42 (also the most popular size), has been completely looted by the hordes. That's why I'm thinking of jumping on this $70 deal as there might be a decent selection to pick over.
