Decent Inline Skates / Rollerblades for a Beginner?

I am thinking about getting back into rollerblading after about 20 years or so. I'm looking for a decent pair of Inline Skates, am reluctant to buy a crappy pair and then not enjoy it. $200 -$300 seems like a good starting budget.

Wondering if anybody rollerblades here and can give me some advice about what model to go for. I've had a look online and people seem to recommend K2 Kinetic 80 Pro. Also interested about sizing, worried if I shop online I'll get the wrong size. I'm in Melbourne. Thanks!

Should be a squillion of them on Facebook marketplace or Gumtree going cheap.

If not put up a wanted ad and prepare to be inundated.

I was literally having a conversation with someone about this the other day asking who even blades knowadays and when is the electric rollerblade coming?

I'd always recommend trying them on making sure they fit your style firstly. Secondly, definitely make sure it includes a metallic chasis and quality bearings (sg/ abec 5s at least).

The K2 Kinetics are nice and fit all the above for me. Generally you can't go wrong with any K2 range just depends what you're using them for speed or tricks.

The Kinetic 80s would be good value all around performer. Though if you're after a softer ride around that range the 5th element st80 would be a lot of fun too. Otherwise try on the Rollerblade Zetrablades if you are going to do more jumps.

Though personally I can't go past K2 blades. I have the v02 90s which are perfect for my needs.
