These are expensive, but are a great quality product, and only very rarely go on sale.

I saw beanbags at a major retailer for ~$30 not that long ago, and understand your point.
The only thing I would add is that this is not a multinational company who outsources production to the cheapest sweatshop.
We all love the notion of buying Australian made, owned and operated, however, when it comes to parting with hard earned cash, it is difficult to justify such a disparity and is why we have lost so much of our manufacturing skills over the past couple of decades.
So while this deal is certainly not for everyone or most and a long way from an ozbargain giveaway, it maybe worthwhile taking a moment to consider if you are in the market for one.
I know that it will be more expensive since it's locally made but I just couldn't understand why it cost around a grand? Maybe some explanation of the manufacturing process will have people understand and justify the price but otherwise this is just too damn expensive
They are not technically bean bags, they are filled with memory foam. They are very expensive, and its why I purchased my Big One second hand, as they tend to depreciate hard. The external cover is a soft microsuede and they are double bagged as well, so its easy to remove, replace and wash the external cover. The combination of the memory foam and soft suede cover make them supremely comfortable. I ended up selling mine a few years ago after moving into a smaller apartment. I do miss it though, and have considered purchasing some of their smaller versions.
Yes and they're also bloody huge. Much bigger than regular beam bag.

They're foam bags, not bean bags, but I agree the prices are very high. They're amazingly comfortable though!
