Fly365

Looking at booking international flights with FLY365.com

Has anyone has any experience?

Once they issue a e-ticket, I am assuming the airline has formally allocated a seat and it doesn’t matter if FLY365 goes under between that point and flight time?

Will STA/FC to price match against fly365?

Any STA/FC agents on OB willing to process this?

I bought tickets from them to Europe late last year with no issues; I was skeptical at first and for some reason their website makes me feel uneasy but I checked that they were listed on https://www.atas.com.au/ . When I later called the Fly365 phone number I got through to a real human; I've got no idea what Fly365's support is like since I never had to use them; but the whole ticket purchasing experience was pretty painless for me. A few days after I bought the ticket, the airline sent my a booking confirmation.

I'm not sure if Flight Centre will price match them; technically Fly365 is an Australian travel agent with an Australian ABN so it should fall under the FC matching policy. The day before I bought my ticket, I went to a FC and although I never got an outright rejection, they sent through the price match request to head office then told me it was already closed for the day so I'd have to come back another day; at that point I just gave up and bought tickets straight from Fly365.

Flight centre matched Fly365 for my Europe trip last year.

Also bought South Africa tickets this year from Fly365, got the confirmation and checked with the carriers website and was able to log in and manage my booking, so all good.

  • Thanks both for your feedback.

Maybe I shouldn’t be as concerned.

Worst case is a chargeback with MasterCard I guess

  • FC no longer price match but Student Flights still do. Not sure about STA

  • STA only price matches economy fares, so they are out anyway

  • FLY365 has been pathetic with their service. Do not be lured to cheap flight tickets as the customer support is worst and have an attitude problem.

I'm not sure this is correct. In relation to the Best Jet fiasco, a lot of people had been issued tickets soon after purchase only to rock up at the airport and be told that their tickets had been cancelled. You will only have a valid ticket when FLY365 or their payment consolidator have released your funds to the airline. Even then, they (the OTA) still 'own' the booking to some degree and they could cancel the ticket and disappear with your money.
