Options for Medium-Term Light Use of 7-Seater Vehicle?

I need a 7 seater to drive rellies around in for ~4 months. We're not going far, ~10km/day max, maybe every other day. What are my best options?

I'm in Brisbane fwiw and I'll probably scratch the hell out of the paint job based on the state of my current car.

  • Kia Carnival
Easy ingress/egress, comfortable seating no matter where you're positioned in the car and no matter your size, powerful enough engine, and popular (so easy to find and easy to onsell).

  • Honda odyssey and Toyota Prius.

  • You're planning to buy or rent? Isn't it cheaper to just take Uber or Cabs if its short distance and only for occasional use?

    • That's what I'm trying to figure out. Whether I'm better off renting or buying or catching a cab. I don't need a big people mover most of the time, but there are kids and car seats involved.

  • Buy an old 7 seater , Kia carnival- mitsubishi grandis honda odyssey, avensis tarago etc. Sell at the end

  • +1

Buy a Corolla and take 2 cars? A $5,000 Corolla could still be sold for that amount 6 months later

Gives them flexibility to do trips of their own, go down the shops themselves etc

  • What about the The Wagon Queen Family Truckster? It's a damn fine automobile if you want my honest opinion.

  • I can't count on any of them being able to drive. They're coming from a right-hand driving country and could so easily get into an accident.

Maybe having some going by Uber while some take the car is the way to go? But being able to all travel in one vehicle is awfully convenient.

    • Sorry, ^that was supposed to be in response to Spackbace

  • 10km you can literally ferry them then come back for the next batch. Would still be faster than waiting for an uber in many cases.
