Cabernet Sauvignon at $60/Dozen + 1 year Skye Club Membership is still available here : http://bit.ly/2XKJnum

    • Just grabbed a case. What does the membership entail? Do I have to cancel it in order to not be billed in a year?

      • +1

More info about the membership here:
        https://www.skyecellars.com.au/skye-club
It doesn't automatically renew. It lapses one year from purchase.

        • How long does shipping take? I ordered Monday but have not received any tracking information yet.

        • +2

That was quick, arrived 10 mins after messaging you

  • This is what a customer has said about the wine:

    Sleepycat3 on 19/04/2019 - 18:54
Bought a few cartons to try. Will let you all know how it compares to my favorites (Jim Barry Shiraz 2013 and Zonte's Footstep Chocolate Factory Shiraz 2013)

    Sleepycat3 on 26/04/2019 - 15:12
Just received my order. It is a very good drop, rivalling $15 Shiraz wines. It still can't match the wines I named above, but those are 2.5 to 4x the price. I am very happy that I took a punt and purchased 3 cartons.

made an order of the shiraz, will report back once I get it

I have membership already, will I get extra membership added

    • After making my 2nd order through this deal, I noticed my membership had extended to 2022!

  • I'm sitting here enjoying a glass of this shiraz. After enjoying it the past week, I just ordered another 3 cartons after seeing this deal come up again.

  • Grabbed the 2013 Shiraz. Will try to remember to report back.

Payment goes to "Australian Wine and Liquor Wholesalers Pty Ltd" via Skye.

Weirdly, the description for the 2013 Shiraz was lifted from the description of the 2017 Angas & Bremer Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine has lifted aromas of chocolate and dark cherries, with a richly flavoured palate of spicy ripe plum

OP, have I assumed correctly that my purchase includes the membership fee? Will it be auto debited in a years time? Site says it's $50pa.

    • +1

No, It will not be auto debited. It will simply lapse after a year.

    • Got the wine from this deal. Paringa 2013 Shiraz, label says it's produced by 'The ARH Australian Wine Company Pty Ltd'.
Can't really find much info on them and the Paringa website is dead.

The label mentions this wine comes from the 'Hickinbotham's Paringa vineyards'. This vineyard was sold to Kingston Estate in 2010. Kingston Estate uses the "Kingston Paringa" vineyard to produce bulk wine (under South Eastern Australia Associated Vineyards). ARH Australian Wine Company exports to Austria, Canada, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, United States. I speculate now that ARH buys bulk wine from Kingston and sells it overseas. I could also be wrong about all the above so do your own research.

All of this is fine, just letting you know you are not getting a quaint little SA winery here, it is bulk wine that was likely destined for OS markets. I've been sipping it while doing this research and it is an ok wine. I'm happy with the price for what we got but would probably not buy the same wine again. The missus just said "I don't mind it, nothing special". When I told her the price she was very impressed.

Grabbed the Cab Sav initially. Must say it is a rather wonderful drop for the price, and it will only improve.
And at $5 a bottle I grabbed 5 more cases. Should last me through winter :-)

  • How long does delivery take after order?

    • It depends from where the delivery is going to be made. Message me your suburb and postcode and I will able to give you an ETA.

    execellent

  • Hi op, I ordered this wine on the last deal, received it today but got sent the wrong wine (a 2017 Shiraz). How do I go about getting the correct one sent and wrong one returned?
