Nice but I wish they had an Adidas store in Canberra :(

i wish they had a fireworks store in melbourne :(

      • +1

Oh the days of buying fireworks from ACT back in the old days :(

        • Pr0n and Cracker runs.

      • +3

i wish they had a fireworks store in melbourne :(

        don't forget the pr0n…

you sure love your prawn ;)

  • how much are those "I heart(addidas) Sydney" hoodies? Anyone knows?

    • +3

      priceless

    • +11

      worthless lol

    • i wanna know too…

  • I hope not many people apart from ozbargainers know about this as i cant make it to my local store till after work and usually the only sizes available are from L upwards….

    • +7

      Don't worry, we won't tell anyone…

      (1263 clicks and counting…)

    • +1

last time I went they put the 40% off voucher on their front door, and automatically removed 40% at the register on all items… but apart from that, no-one else knew!!

  • I'm holding out for the second and samples sale

  • do you really have to make an appointment to go the adicentre? surely they will get sick of making appointments and leave the door open?

anyone have any experience with that location in previous years?

    • +2

Parking could get pretty hectic. As long as you could put your name down, they didn't really mind how many ppl you brought with you - but you might as well just say +2 or 3

RRP of stock was more or less same as in store, maybe they had more sample stuff there.
Long lines to check out too and for change rooms too usually

  • Nice one!

    Fully sick bro! ;)

Anyone still remember the adidas joke?

    All day I dream about…lol!

I wonder if it's transferable to other sports stars? It just worked so well with Pat Cash! ;)

      • +1

Tiger? :). There was a Discovery channel show on lust yesterday that explained how lust works…..

  • thanks. i'll be making my way there early on the the 26th. so i won't get sarcastic comments like "everyone is doing the friends + family deal"

anyone know if offers can be combined? for e.g. when it is already 20% off in store then you use the voucher to get 40% off that.

    • i want to know too. but at least last time they did stack the discounts, which means 40% off applied to those already discounted garments.

    • from past experience in the sydney lidcombe outlet, the 40% off applies to the marked prices on the clothing. Even if they are already discounted. ALTHOUGH. The staff usually have said "we give you the cheaper price; what's marked, or 40% off the non-discount sticker price"

Confused ? Me too. Sometimes you get that rule, sometimes you get 40% off ,regardless.

Adicentre has * Bookings only…if we are to be specific, should Collingwood have * Muggings only?! Perhaps the store should offer shoppers a tax receipt to claim back under donations! :-P

  • -1

cant get there till late will have to go the day before and hide my goodies from the ozbargain leeches

    • I'm an ozbargain leech. Where do you hide your stash?

  • +7

    This is awesome!

  • If there's an item you are interested in check the price before the sale (to make sure you are getting the expected discount). You'd be very surprised at how the prices fluctuate, esp. at the outlets. My current pair of runners are "on sale" currently for $30 more than what I paid at the same outlet two months back.
I also saw pair of Adidas Oregon $50 before a sale then $70 a week later on a %off "sale" ;-)

    • that's y they dont put prices on their website? i jsut flipped through their web and cant see any prices there =(

  • +1

I need to go rehab to stop buying! SMAP SMAP SMAP SMAP..

  • The sad thing is even with the 40% off it's still cheaper to buy from overseas…. (if you're gonna buy more than one item cause of the shipping)

    • oh really. the ODI shirt is $15, with the 40% discount it willl be $9

      • Okay most things
But then think about it the American equivalent of the ODI shirt would probably be cheaper than AU$9.

        But overall, shoes, bags, hoodies…..

        • however, if the 40% off is applied on those already reduced prices, you should get cheaper price here than overseas. even cheaper than bought in china (for genuine only)

        • Good point.
I was thinking about full retail prices minus the discount.

      • what is ODI shirt?

        • I think he's refering to the One Day International cricket shirt.

  • +6

i love how the MLN rep is an actual ozbarginer lol

    • who is MLN rep? zhenjie?

      • +1

umm nope. that would just be 'MLN' :)

  • Jeez I hope this is good! I'm going to rearrange my whole day to get there.

  • awesome!

  • Hi, when does this start? the pdf file that is uploaded onto ozbargain won't load for me, thanks.

    • +2

Thursday. It says 26th - 28th in the title.

  • What's this adicentre people speak off?
EDIT: Saw it's in Mulgrave, but my question is, what's so fancy about the adicentre that you have to make a booking in advance?

    • Nothing that fancy. it holds more seconds and samples stocks then some stores. it's also smaller, hence you need to make a booking so they dont get overcrowded.

      • whats better the adicentre or the store in smith st? I only really have time to go to one of them

    • Because it's next to the reception in their Head Office building and they don't want a bunch or people flooding their small store there ;-)

  • +1

I'll lurk around in the store on Wednesday, find what I want, then pounce on Thursday morning. Exxxxxcellent. .

  • Excludes mi adidas and mi originals. What are those?

Cause I wanted to get these shoes:

    http://www.hypedc.com/london-dark-green-slime.html/

    and http://www.hypedc.com/sl-72-mns-bluebird-white.html/ + another black/green one

    • the "mi" series are the custom made ones. Similar to Nike iD. Dont worry, theres none of that in these stores. pretty sure you have to go online to do it

  • I have on good authority that the second and samples sale in Vic is in 4 weeks. Hold off until then for shoes etc.

    • care to enlighten me on this ?

      • +5

his name pretty much says it all doesn't it.

    • ozbargain needs to start banning noob neggers like these :/

  • Went into one of their stores this arvo, found what I wanted, tried it out & got the sales guy to put it under the counter for me to pay and collect in the morning with the voucher. Sweet deal.

    • nice work dude. i got up and ate breakfast this morning

      • +3

Same, but I let out some rip roaring morning thunder

  • Went and picked up a new pair of soccer boots this morning, too easy.

    • Which ones, and for how much?

      • Adizero F50's, usually $300 down to $180.

Would have liked the Prime's which are regularly $400 but they only had them in bright orange, I don't have the audacity to wear those :)

        • Woah, that's an awesome deal! well done.

    • did they have many sizes?

  • did u need to show the voucher to get the discount?

    • Yes, they were asking for them.
However I saw someone show them the voucher from their iPhone and they were fine with that.

      • +1

Yep, that is what I did, showed them from my iPhone and it was fine :)

    • At the adidas store in Lidcombe Sydney, They asked you to sign up with your name and email address.

  • Popped down to the QVB store this morning before work. It was empty haha.

  • Got some running stuff, inc. compression top. Pretty solid deal IMO, I checked up prices the day before just in case they were gonna do some silly business, but from what I can see, it's all legit.

  • Spent $188 all up this morning :)

    4 Jackets, 2 Track pants & 3 Pairs of socks :) a saving of $120!

Very good morning indeed for me :)

    • r u kidding? that's such a bargain! but how could u get so many things for only $188 as one jacket already costs like at least $90?

      • Jackets were already on sale for $60 each :D one was $45, discounted to $25!

  • Any good runners on sale? Prices?

  • +3

I'm asian myself, but dang, i had no idea adidas was such an asian brand judging from the ethnic mix in the QVB adidas original store. I'd say at least 80% were asian, at times it was probably 98%. Was it really that much of a bargain? lol

    • Sure was a bargain :)

    • lol…off-topic question, were u born or grow up in AUS?

      • *grew up

        • Here.. so i guess that makes me a racist now lol.

    • +1

mate QV is always 90% asian anyway. The Safeway downstairs has more Asians then an Asian night club.

    • +4

Well for asians, at 40% off today ADIDAS stood for All Day I Dream About Savings. Russell Peters approves this message!

      • EPIC LOL

  • Just wondering if Adidas do full length compression?

    • +1

Yeah they do, however sizing is very limited (most of them are l, xl, xxl). They do have a good size selection for the short sleeve compression top at the adidas outlet on smith street ($33 after discount). They also bring out new stock each day. I know this because I got the wrong size for one of mine and went back today for an exchange.

  • I think Adidas Queen St (Brisbane) has been Ozbargained! Went there this arvo and some sizes (10.5, 11 soccer boots; M jackets/t-shirts) are already out of stock… asked the sales and he said yesterday the store was full of people…

Probably if you're keen next time you should get there on the first sale day when the store opens!!

  • Went to the Adidas Outlet in Harbourtown and bought the following shoes:
    http://www.rebelsport.com.au/ecom/rebel/product_detail.aspx?…

got these in Black and Blue for $42 (the outlets always seem to have a different colour range)

    and these shoes:
    http://www.amazon.com/adidas-Originals-Womens-Attitude-Sneak…

again in different colours Grey/Purple/Orange for $27 - my bargain for the week!

  • damn exam time…no time to shop …cept from home

  • +1

some guy bought about 15 Australian cricket home caps. Look for them on ebay. shifty looking dude wearing a fanny pack.

  • The Adidas Originals store on Chapel had some decent stuff. Picked up a couple of jumper hoodies for $51 each after the discount. A nice pair of trackies for $30 and a singlet for $21.

The outlet store in Collingwood had less fashionable stuff, obviously, but I was happy with my two pairs of trackies for $40. They will be fine for the gym.

    Great post.

    Cheers.

    • i went to the smith st one in collingwood at about 11am and it was packed, and there was not much good stuff left.

  • I went to the Adidas Originals store on Cavil ave in surfers. Got two shoes, a shirt and two hoodies for $330 - pretty happy with that. There were a lot of other things I wanted but they were already somewhat cheap so I figured I'd use the discount on the more expensive products then get the cheaper items later on. One of the staff members mentioned the next VIP sale will most likely be in november

They're having another 40% off this coming Tuesday to get rid of stock. Though it's an advertised sale so get there quick. I don't know if other stores will be doing the same.

Thanks for the post. I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for ozb
