Microsoft Office Subscription Expired

The Microsoft Office subscription has expired in my home laptop.

Do I need to buy a new one? Is there a cheaper version to buy? Is there a free version available?

I basically need it to work on Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Thank you for all the help.

    OpenOffice/LibreOffice

    • Thanks
Libre downloading now - I'll give that test over next week or so
      (I already have open office)

You can try some of the sites recommended on YouTube etc., but be very careful as many of these sites are using activated licences and Volume Licences (bulk) that are already licenced to another comany etc.

Avoid kinguin.net . They offer insurance in case of the above but I have heard nothing but tails of woe.

    I can recommend:

    Microsoft products:

For very low priced Microsoft Office keys. (Links are provided to Microsoft website to download programme).
I bought MS Office Pro 2016 last year for about USD11.00 (not available now). No issues to speak of and the site appears above board. That said, Microsoft products are now extremely bloated and chew up a lot of resources. To be fair, Microsoft has not offered anything new to warrant an upgrade since Office 2003 imho. Microsoft will eventually stop selling 'retail' versions of all their products and will only offer Office on a subscription-only basis. They are looking for ways to copy the Android/Apple way of software distribution since their traditional way of selling software is shrinking globally.

I still believe that if you are a heavy user of Office products, there are very few functions that are NOT available to either OpenOffice or LibreOffice and would be both worthwhile trying before putting any dollars down. They both read all Microsoft proprietary file types as well as the common public domain file types.

Try not to install the Microsoft Trial version of Office. If you change your mind and don't want it, it leaves debris everywhere and you will get annoying popup offers even after you have "uninstalled" it. There are good YouTube tuitions on how to cleanup afterwards and you would be surprised to see how much gets left behind, particularly in the Windows Registry (never ever inslalled Skype, but it keeps re-appearing!).

Hasn't been an issue for years now.

Download the removal tool and follow the instructions from Microsoft here

    You join the dots…..

  • Ask your company, they usually have this agreement that gives it to you much cheaper.
