Chromebook Alternative Recommendation (Cheap Sub $500 Laptops)

Hi everyone,

Could anyone please advise any recommendations - I am looking for a cheap (sub $500) laptop to use for travels. Nearly bought the Chromebook but want something that has Microsoft office (excel, word etc)

Will only be used for basic browsing and tasks, some video streaming etc

Using it for travel so looking for light and compact as well with a decent battery life

I doubt you're going to get something "lightweight" for that price point. Would need to be a 13"

Look for a lenovo thinkpad deal on ozb, like the x230.
