Compatible? Corsair 8 Pin PCI-E PSU Cable

HELPPP!!!

I have Corsair CX850M and I lost all my PCI-E cables for it.

Today I got my hands on - https://imgur.com/a/zDxrvxx (thanks to OZB classifieds) but I am not sure if it is compatible.

I tried to use it with my build but it did not start (or may be I didn't wait long enough due to freaking out) so I instantly turned off the PSU.

This is what I need and what I have looks very similar - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessorie…

This eBay listing also looks like the cable I have and has my PSU as compatible in the description - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/POWER-cable-for-Corsair-TXM-HX-S…

Thank you in advance.

  • Okay the PCI-E side of the cables will be standard, that's the side with PCI-E printed on it and the 6+2 configuration. Now check that the other side has the same hole cut-outs as the PSU plugs. If it does it will work, if it doesn't you will have to get the Corsair one.

I'm not sure if Corsair use their own plug configurations or not.

  • Looks like its advertised for the TXM and HX PSUs which uses the type 4 corsair cable for PCIE. I have a RM750i PSU which also uses type 4 for pcie and it looks exactly the same, assuming its wired correctly it should work.
