Cashrewards - Different Email Addresses

Hi,

Am new to cashback sites. I have recently joined CashRewards and Shopback.

I have accounts with various retailers already, but the email address I use for most of the retailers is different to the email address that I used to create my accounts with CashRewards and shopback.
Will I still be recognised and therefore rewarded if I use a different email address (than my CashRewards & Shopback address) to log into my account on the retailer site at their checkout?

Sorry that’s a bit convoluted, but I hope you get what I’m trying to say. Thanks.

    No need to match.

You sign into cashback site then click link to purchase site and sign in there with that site details.

Nothing need match. Heck cashback details can be all fake except an email and bank account you transfer to.

By using the cashback site you're doing the same thing as clicking an ad anywhere else so no.

  • Super. Thanks all for verifying.

    • To be more specific - using the cashback links is creating the seller's cookies in your browser WITH the link from the cashback site, which then tracks through the checkout process. This is why they are finicky about adblockers, not clicking on other pages etc when you purchase, as that specific cookie might get overwritten and the seller thinks another site is responsible for guiding you to the sale.

If the cashback site doesn't get recognised in that cookie, then the seller won't send them the referral commission, and thus they can't pass it on to you as a cashback.

This also means that the sites aren't sharing personal info (e.g. email addresses) so they don't need to be the same in any form. Heck, if I managed to get others to use my cashback links then I'd get their credit and they wouldn't be any different. One good reason to buy your work goods online with a work credit card is that you can be the 'middleman' referring sales from your employer to a (cashback friendly) seller!

      • Thank you for that explanation, much appreciated.
