According to mobileciti.com.au, the Huawei B525 4G WiFi Router supports 4G/LTE Band 1/3/7/8/20/28/32/38/40/41.

According to whistleout.com.au, Telstra 4G/LTE operates on Band 1/3/7/8/28.

So yes, unless it is network locked to a single provider, there is a good chance the Huawei B525 4G Wifi Router will work with a Telstra 4G sim.

  • I have this router and I use a Telstra 4g Sim in it. So yes.

    • Was it an outright purchase or was it one of those from Optus/Exetel?

      • It was an Exetel one that came with Optus network Sim. Works perfectly. Best mobile broadband set up with Telstra right now.

        • Perfect. I was going to sign up to their $40 wireless plan. Is it simple as taking out the optus sim and putting in the telstra sim? Or is there any other thinkering I have to do?

          • @TomGum: You'll have to change the APN settings.

IT should be available from a dropdown list, otherwise just search for "Telstra APN"

  • I have both the vivid wireless and unbranded. Both Worked fine on Voda, Telstra and Optus.

Unsure if it has all the Telstra bands however

    • Seems mine is the B315
