    Highland Park have rebranded everything with a Viking theme over the last couple of years. That’s the current retail bottling.

  will be interesting to see what dan's and first choice do tomorrow with price matching. Their Glen Marnoch 18/25yo might be worth a look as well…

  If you want some context for Laphroaig, when you walk east from Port Ellen town on the island of Islay, there are three distilleries each one mile apart along the road: Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg. In that order. I've done that walk and although Laphroaig remains my least favourite of the three, they're all fantastic whisky brands making whisky in a similar environment. Bruichladdich is my favourite, but they're over on the other side of the island near Port Charlotte.
