Banggood Delivery Not Turning up after 25 Business Days from Hong Kong

I ordered 2 mobile phones from Banggood on the 07 Apr 2019 using PayPal as the mode of payment.
It was shipped out on the 09 Apr 2019.
The delivery time was listed as 7 to 25 business days on Air Registered Parcel service.
I am counting down the days and it should arrive today but there is no more tracking information since it left Hong Kong on the 09 Apr 2019.
I did not buy their shipping insurance at the time of transaction for an extra cost.
What can I do now? Please advise from your experience.

My next question is would PayPal help me get a full refund from this Seller?
and how do I go about doing this?

    give it another 15 days.

    • From Banggood? Christ, you're optimistic…

      • 40 days is my avg from China generally.

  • Wait for the tracking to update when it clears Australian customs.

It takes time to bang good.

  • The shipping times are always an average estimate usually provided by the couriers/postal services themselves. It's not unusual for them to arrive a while after the advertised time.

Just wait it out for a week or 2.

  • You can write to them and complain if you want. If it is already posted the they will probably just tell you to wait longer but may eventually reship if the package appears lost. Of course this second package will be another 7 to 25 days. I once had a package take about 4 months to arrive from banggood. This is one of the reasons they are cheaper, worst shopping possible.

    • I rang them and their response was that they will email me something but I still have not got any email regarding this.
I also told them that I would like to have my money back if they are unable to delivery what they have stated. It was shipped on Registered Air Parcel from Switzerland Post. I have bought items from Aliexpress and they are much better with shipping times. I have never waited more than 3 weeks for items to arrive from China before.

      • Sounds like they are sending from their European warehouse.

        • They are using Swiss post but the parcel was tracked coming out of Hong Kong.

  • They shouldn't quote 25 days when they know they use surface shipping sometimes that can be 40 or more. I once ordered fragile small lcd panels from them and they were shipped in only a thin plastic bag so if the item is fragile there can be problems. I would still use them again but you know what you are in for with them.

  • I don't start worrying about any Chinese delivery until the days get into the 30s and some of them turn up in the 40s.

  • Decided to actually look at what they say… yep they're an estimate just like every other store.

  • My next question is would PayPal help me get a full refund from this seller??

The shipping timeframe is only an estimate, and the 25 business days has not elapsed yet. Why would you be entitled to a refund?

      • Today is the 25th day not counting public holidays (3 days), if counting public holidays it will be this Friday.

        • +1

Yes. And it is an estimate.

Again, why would you be entitled to a refund?

@djkelly69: It's like people don't understand how shipping works.

          • +1

@djkelly69: Duh, cause the ACCC rules apply in Hong Kong so the customer is entitled to one if the shipping estimate is wrong.

The customer is always right has superseded caveat emptor.

          • @djkelly69: In Aliexpress if the buyer did not receive their goods within their sellers estimate, the buyer is entitled to have his money back.
I have bought a few mobiles from Aliexpress and their estimate is very accurate and at times arrived ahead of their estimated time frame.

15 days after you forget that you've bought it, is the day of delivery….

    • That's a good one. I am already looking at other phones.

      • +1

Why? The responses here couldn't be more clear that you are experiencing normal delays.
Consider using priority delivery next time, or buying in a shop if the requirement is urgent, or you don't like waiting.

        • Why?

I am already looking at other phones.

There you go, probably the main reason with shipping time as the pretext.

        • It was clearly listed on their website as 7 - 25 business days for delivery.
Banggood should not state that if they are unable to delivery it within that time frame.
Plus it was sent on Registered Parcel Post which I had to pay extra and there was no priority or expedite shipping option.
I don't mind the wait if it was free shipping but in this instance I have paid for a service which it did not delivered within their stated time frame.

          • @he88388: So then you decide to waste even more time returning it and getting something else, good idea, my eyes aren't rolling at all. Just try to get a refund on the shipping cost if you're that torn up about it rather than self-sabotaging.

            • @Illian: Not to mention PayPal disputes can be stretched out for a month and during that time the package will likely turn up.

          • @he88388: I've already provided proof that it's an estimate.

Banggood (or any store) have no control over how long the postal companies, customs etc. are going to take once the order has left their hands do they? Nope. What if it got held up in customs? What if the courier truck broke down? There are always reasons for delays and that's why they're used as estimates.

          • @he88388: You might be better shopping at DJs or Myer in future.

    Just wait….

  • +3

    sigh

  • Firstly wait a few more days as registered post is MUCH SLOWER!

    Secondly contact seller

    Thirdly contact Paypal

  • I bet they logged the pickup request with the postal service but haven't sent it out yet. That was my experience, once it actually left their centre it arrived within a week.

    • This is the tracking log from Swiss Post

Date Time Event Processed by Notes

Tue 09.04.2019 15:05 Arrival at origin border point Asendia Hong Kong
Tue 09.04.2019 16:22 The consignment has left the origin border point Asendia Hong Kong

Our delivery partners in the destination country have unfortunately not provided us with any consignment incidents. The lack of this information does not affect actual delivery.

  • With Swiss Post, it might be going to Austria instead of Australia.

    • Oh that's great.

      • Any update?

        • I got PayPal involved and PayPal reversed the transaction onto my credit card. Bang good did not send my order and I will think twice buying from them.

          • @he88388: well thats fked… I bought from Tobydeals which is similar to BangGood…

            • @Koipanda: I have bought from Tobydeals before and their shipping is very fast if they have them in stock.
You will have to wait a long time if they sold out or re-stocking. Good Luck.

              • @he88388: Its been two weeks :( They just got stock 2 days ago but rn its still packing
