Reserve Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2014 at $150/Dozen (Worth $600) Delivered @ Skye Cellars

20

This Deal has been received so good from our customers that we have called it Deal of The Year.

We dropped the price to $150/dozen only through OzBargain.

You can find it on our specials page but the price is $180/Dozen.

It will be very easy to find which wine this is with a google search and that's fine. This way you will know exactly what you are getting.

The palate shows layers of plum and raspberry supported by soft velvety tannins. The finish is elegant and textured with a hint of dark chocolate.

This Shiraz wine has been matured in French oak Barrels and will mature gracefully over time.
Info about this wine from the Winery:

This Shiraz vineyard is planted on a North to South facing slope located in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale. This elevated vineyard experiences hill and gully breezes as well as ocean westerly, from the Gulf of St Vincent.

The soils are weathered and leached, consisting of a shallow layer of grey sand overlaying red loam that grades into clay. These own rooted vines average over 30 years old and produce concentrated fruit flavours and aromas at low yields. Deep crimson and violet hues are punctuated by hints of anise, nut-meg and cedar on the nose.

$40 delivery fee per order (Not Per Case) will incur for TASMANIA

This is the review from James Halliday Wine Companion for 2012 Vintage:

It hammers sweet plum, licorice and raspberry flavours through the palate, cedary oak flowing in lockstep. Warm and satisfying.

    Halliday Rating 93/100

Previous deal on OzBargain went down well for those searching the history.

    (Worth $600)

Can I be a pedant and point out that it's worth $150 (at least according to neoclassical economics).

    • +2

Of course you can be a pedant macrocephalic.

  • Hi
I just bought this one yesterday. Has anyone tried it before? How was it taste? Thanks all.

  • Hi OP - is pickup direct from Skye Cellars available for this?

    • Of course it is. And you can actually try it before you buy it. If you haven't bought it yet, simply show the staff at the counter the ozbargain deal and they will be happy to open a bottle for you.
      Thank you.
