TAFE Courses

Been about 10 years since i've been to tafe, and holy haven't they jumped up in price!
Considering a complete career change and considering getting into the health sector.
The course HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance seems to appeal to me

But these days, with all these training org I've seen prices of 3k and I've seen prices of 10k

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good online provider considering I live out in the sticks?

What jobs are you hoping to land by completing that certification? I don't see a point completing a TAFE course if it provides you with no job prospects.

Have a look at job ad websites and see what jobs appeals to you then consider doing a TAFE course to upskill if required.

  • There's free government funded courses if you just want to do a course for the fun of it.

  • If you are good at selling yourself then tafe can be okay, but if you aren't good at selling yourself then you should do a course on how to sell yourself.

    • Great advice

  • My guess it's so expensive because not many people do that cert (not at my TAFE anyway).

What type of job do you want in the health sector? Plenty of jobs in aged care. Cert 3 in Individual Support is only 1.3k at mine, but you might struggle to find one that offers it online.
