2019 Mazda CX5 Akera AWD Turbo Driveaway Price?

Hi all,

Not sure many have bought since it’s quite a new release model. But since it’s almost EOFY, I assume it would be the best time to go and find one new from the dealer.

Not interested in other alternatives, only want the new model CX5 and hoping there are recent buyers who can share a price or give a rough discount amount on one they’ve recently bought.

InB4 the idiots arrive claiming they got 20+% off theirs. Or that 20% off is the minimum starting point.

If you are talking about the recently released and updated CX5, good luck getting much of a discount. There will still be a ship load of last models hanging about that they will try and move before they care about discounting the latest and greatest.

A lot of dealerships don’t really care about EOFY, as it’s just another month and targets are usually monthly based. Best time on popular vehicles to get a good discount is end of model year. If it’s December and they still have ‘19MY stock to shift, expect them to do much better deals around late in the month.

If another update is due for next years model, these will be released between September and December, so they will start clearing the ‘19MY stock to make way for the ‘20MY stock around these months.

Nah you're wrong, my mate's cousin just got this exact car for $32,500 drive away with 10yrs free servicing included and a gobby from the aftercare chick.

I told him to try for $31,000 but he's dumb he just signed away.

      • Why didn't you try and sell them a RAV4? The works with mates rates. :)

Your mates cousin has no idea, my uncle's dogs barber got it for $28,500 with lifetime free fuel.

  • Hi all,

    Hai

    True

But since it’s almost EOFY, I assume it would be the best time to go and find one new from the dealer.

You assume wrong. As peg said above, brand new models like this and new RAV4 are unaffected by this time of year. Discounting is minimal if at all. Supply and demand.

Not interested in other alternatives, only want the new model CX5

We'll that's a shame coz I see nothing on the spec sheet that puts this over the new RAV4 hybrid. Worse fuel economy, less torque, more expensive servicing, for similar or more money than a top end RAV4 cruiser awd.

and hoping there are recent buyers who can share a price or give a rough discount amount on one they’ve recently bought.

    Good luck…

    • What is the DA for fully loaded RAV4?

      • $50-ish for the cruiser awd. There is the edge above it but petrol only, $54k all in with optional panoramic sunroof

Thanks for your input but everyone is allowed their preference. I have no desire to own a Rav4, many do but I don’t.

  • Can't help you with pricing but good choice (in that car segment) esp the 2.5l turbo petrol … that engine will definitely give you some zoom zoom

    • Yeah cheers, tbh until the turbo engine was lumped into the CX5, it wasn’t as desirable.

  • New car = wealth destruction

    • Totally agree if you intend to sell it in 5 years or less. But it will be something kept for a long time.

    • Nobody cares, as mentioned doesn't apply to long term vehicle, and cars can't come secondhand from the factory.

      • Well that's not true. I care so you can't say nobody cares

        • And i have bought many cars secondhand from the factory.

Only buy a vehicle that you would be happy to pay the RRP for, if you wouldn't, then it isn't the car for you. Any discount is a bonus.
