  • OP how does this compare to your previous offering
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/453473

which was a 42" LED tv cheaper by $1.85

    • They are the same model thanks

  • Inflation mate

    • I'm not a techie
are LCD/ LED the same/ similar?

      • LED is more energy smart should be better but if the descriotion is right or not , cant tell

      • +1

LCD is the panel technology, LED is the backlight tech.

        • LCD is the panel technology, LED is the backlight tech.

so basically the same tv as last time?

          • @docians: LCD is the panel, LED is the backlight, which is the same as the 90% current LED/LCD TV out there on market.

  • Hows the side angle viewing on this one? Does it distort and you have to be sitting directly in front of it to actually see what's on the screen?

docians LED is better, better resolution, longer display life time, better colours and has a back light to enhance the picture quality.

UHD LED is the better one to look for because it's 'ultra high definition - UHD'. This one will do for an external laptop display or third TV depending on the side angle distortion.

    • The Angle viewing is 176/176

it is a FHD LED BACKLIGHT tv with higher brightness compared to most cheap brands out there, not a UHD

  • Ok, it’s not gonna be the best TV out there. But bang for buck, that’s insane.

Of course, you can always wait till it gets $1.85 cheaper to make it a real bargain…

    • Agree, nothing wrong with it at all for a 42 inches LED TV at this price even with low brightness.
I comapared this model with another brand myself, it is brighter and colours look better.

  • +2

These guys sell its 350 cd/m2 brightness like it’s from another planet. This is just an ordinary panel, not different to other cheap brands. Do not be fooled by the “commercial led panel”, expect washed out colours and bad contrast. Look at the specs on the link.

Last post from them was for something very similar, if not the same.

IMHO, if you are buying something this cheap, is because you are price-concious. Don’t spend money on something you can’t check beforehand. Go one day to a shopping centre if possible and check the Soniqs and JVCs and see them in action before you buy.

    • +1

Fair enough, it is always safe to see before you buy.

That's why we accept return if you are not satisfied with the quality, please return it within 14 days in the original box and just pay your postage.

    • Also this model was made for commercial use that's why they put emphasis on brightness as they are supposed to run more than 16 hours a day with brighter display, I do believe that their next new model will be the same brightness as most brands out there.
