  • Thanks got it.

Can't confirm a $0 payment on my mobile??

I had trouble on my desktop too. The servers might be snowed under.

      • +5

Actually I didnt think or realise I had to click a payment icon (ie PayPal) before saving.

        • +3

Had the same issue. Thanks for the tip. Badly designed payment page.

      • +2

I had trouble with the website too. It works fine in the Uplay application.

      • +3

Probably caused by ozb descending like an avalanche.

      • Tried it on 2 different browsers. Looked in the console and their ajax request is returning a '410' response, ouch.
I wonder how many sales they're losing per minute for real buyers lol.

    • +1

Try to select PayPal as payment. It worked for me.

      • Yeah this - really badly designed checkout experience on mobile

    • Gave me some trouble on Firefox but worked fine on Chrome.

  • Thanks ive been wanting to buy this for the Switch but it never came…

  • +5

Cant get past checkout "save and review order"

    • Same

    • I had the same, refreshed page and then it worked. Mobile.

    • Had the same problem, kept trying and eventually it worked

    • +4

Worked, had to select a payment method lol - selected "Paypal" and worked.

      • After selecting PayPal you also just need to wait a few mins then eventually you’ll be able to checkout (which worked for me)

        • I've figured it out everyone.. Click Paypal BEFORE you click the first Save button. If you clicked it after you can refresh the page and it will be clickable again.

      Same what a shitty system

I always thought the RRP was a little Steep…

    …I'll ski myself out

    • +2

Tell Mark to boot this guy outta here.

    • +7

There’s snow way I would have got it at rrp

    • +3

game puns are always a slippery slope

    • +3

Snow good complaining about the RRP for a free game. So we'll let that slide for now since its all down hill from there.

      • +4

That's a load of Buller. Perisher the thought that complaining won't lift you up.

  • +13

You can also activate this from within the Uplay client, if you're having issues with their site. It's the first option in the Free games section of the library currently.

    • +3

Thanks works straight away from the client. Couldn't get it working from browser

  • Downloaded now, playable in 10 minutes.

    • Good?

      • +2

Crashes on server connect. Visuals are nice.

    • How big is the game

Care to test it, and thanks me later?

    • +2

What a convenient link. I'll thank you now. Thanks!

    • Edit: Tested, it worked and there on my bro Uplay account.
Now hope we got time to play.

  • Using the Uplay Client on desktop:

1.Get it for free is greyed out. So you need to click on 'see more'
    2. Next page has 2 buttons that look different but both say 'Get it before 21/05', butone of them is greyed out.
    3. After clicking on the button with the date you get "Click OK to attach the game to your Ubisoft competition. You will be able to access it in your list of games from any computer"

What does 'attach to your Ubisoft competition' mean ?

  • Damn, I bought this after playing it on PSPlus but it's still in the wrapper. Really good game and I recommend playing the crazy falling down rocks challenges while the servers are popular, it's hilarious.

This makes it very likely they'll announce steep 2 at E3

  • Thank you. Added to my never ending backlog.

  • Thanks! I've got the full kit and caboodle on Xbox but always nice to see how it looks on my PC. The base game will encourage people to purchase the expansions though, and why not.

  • Cheers, always wanted to give this a go.

  • All these free games, why buy?

  • Thanks op, been in the steam wishlist for a while… so glad I didn't bite during any of the steam sales

How does this compare to SkiFree?

  • Won't let me get it for free. Says I'm in the wrong geo location.

Seems this is not the store dedicated to your country. Not available for purchase due to geographical restrictions. This/these items may be available in your store.

Does Ubi have a separate store for each region like Sony does, or is it based on your IP? My account might be US based, I don't know how to tell.

Coming up in my store for $29.95.

EDIT: MAnaged to claim it through the client.

Great. This game has been on my list for a while. 1080 on n64 nostalgia

  • +4

Possibly one of the worst checkout user experiences ever, even with a free game.

  • +3

You have to select payment method before saving the contact details.

They don't even seem to have a contact form to tell them how awful their checkout is.

    • yeah, the "Save this address" has to be ticked.

  • +1

Terrible checkout system.. even after choosing paypal I get a message Oops, your payment could not be proccessed

  • Kinda loving these game store wars… getting all these free games now

  • Decent game so far, apart from being recommended events to compete in and then opening up a DLC store page and asking me to buy stuff.
