IAG/NRMA Loyalty Discount and Number of Products Discount

Are there any long term customers of NRMA? This might also cover RACV (as this is a JV with IAG) and other brands owned by IAG.

Do you think the loyalty discount (years you've been a customer) and number of product discounts are genuine or a gimmick? Do you take any of this into consideration before switching? What's been your experience with the claims service?

    The loyalty discount is genuine. It's pretty much the reason I stay with them.

    Number of product discounts is less genuine. This doesn't factor into the decision.

    Yes, with the loyalty discount, no other non-dodgy company beats them.

    What's been your experience with the claims service?

    Great. Quick and hassle free. They might request an MS Paint diagram. You can use the same one from OzB.

  • I've claimed four times with NRMA for my car insurance (for some reason, people really like driving into my red car) and apart from the last claim where the consultant never extended my hire car option, resulting in another phone call, no hassles at all.

  • I have used RACV insurance for a long time. Almost every time I have an insurance renewal I get other quotes and they can't match the RACV for me. I have only claimed once about 20 years back. No problems and very friendly and efficient. Just checked and I have been a road service member for 49 years and much of it with RACV insurance.
