AliExpress Standard Shipping - Delivery Not Successful

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a mobile from aliexpress worth $450 and the shipping method i selected was Aliexpress Standard Shipping without tracking (big mistake, I know).

What happened was the tracking showed as entered into Aust and then a few days later —-> 'delivery unsuccessful'. Has anyone experienced similar issues with this shipping method and more importantly, will I be able receive my mobile??

I am awaiting reply from the seller and have called my local post office (obviously, they could not track it since there is no tracking for this shipping method inside Australia). I was at home all day (on the 14th May, the day when the tracking updates to failed delivery) so there is no chance that I missed the delivery.

As the seller has not replied to my message, I will not open a dispute yet (even if i did, Aliexpress may not side with me according to what I've read in a few forums)

Thanks and I'll see you down in the comments section :)

  • Maybe wait abit longer

    • Yup, planning to wait for another week and hoping for the best :)

  • +1

    delivery unsuccessful

I thought it usually says that when you miss a delivery, I know you were home but sometimes delivery driver doesn't actually come through (happens to me a few times). Has it been a few days? When you called local PO did you ask them if they had the item? Might have got sent to the delivery point, and is on its way to closest post office (they do this sometimes, I have no idea why).

    • I suspect that's the case (driver didnt actually come). It has been about 4 business days since the tracking update (remains unchanged till now). Called the LPO on 14th and they said they didnt have it. Went to the LPO just now, they checked for the parcel but said it isn't with them. Hope that the tracking is showing incorrect information :(

  • Mine was 'returned to sender' for unknown reasons? The seller extended my PP but I just checked last night that AE automatically confirmed my order from no response, so I had to open a dispute >_> I used coupons for that order, rather get it redelivered than refunded….

    • Was yours 'delivery failed' before it changed to 'returned to sender' and did you get a refund from the dispute? I used coupon for my as well and would like the item than a refund :/

      • All looks normal, went from 'delivery arranged' and then returned to sender. I only opened the dispute yesterday and then the seller sent me a 'whats wrong' message. I dont think I can even accept a redelivery at this point because there is no option for me to confirm order received or extend PP. So annoyed!!

        • Totally understand your frustrations! Not to mention that i have waited over a month for it to enter Australia then this happened urghhh …

          • @Ifoundabetterprice: I just got a full refund as the seller did acknowledge the item was RTS, he was quite apologetic and saying he'd give me a discount on next purchase so hopefully he can match the price of what I paid before..

            • @MeesusEff: That's good to hear! My seller just replied that he will be checking with the logistic company for more information. Personally I wouldn't buy again even with the voucher unless you're going with a better/faster shipping like DHL. The standard shipping is painfully long and unreliable ..

  • I've had parcels that have said delivery unsuccessful then they've been delivered a few days later.

    • I'm currently on day 4. Hopefully it will come soon!

  • Seller could have manually put in a bad address on parcel. I saw one amazingly delivered despite wrong postcode and suburb typo. Luckily, the post office could look up this unique street that's in same suburb despite typo.

  • I'm 2 years late, but my aliexpress order went to my LPO (Aus post) and i got it from there. I didnt even get a card saying to check there, i just checked in case and lo and behold it arrived there 1 day after the "package not delivered" message
