These actually work well. They sit flush with your socket and looks quite pro. I don't think it outputs 1amp but it was enough to charge a iPhone4, Galaxy S or Nintendo DS.

Hard to call things bargains when they are either 40c cheaper than DX and 20c more expensive than eBay.

  Yeah, they are far better than you'd think.
  
  They aren't "cheap looking" like kill joy says, and the size is handy especially for cars with a socket inside the centre console bin.

these are crap!!They are too short to connect to power in regular cigarette lighter sockets in cars.

NOT RECCOMENDED!!
