Must Try Food Places in Regional NSW?

Hi guys,

Driving from Brisbane down to NSW Central Coast, will be going via coastal Highway on the way down and coming back up inland on the way back -
What are some must try food places I should stop in at ?

  • You probably know Yatala pies already, but also great pies at Billinudgel.

    • Sorry should have specified, after Tweed Heads or so haha

      • I was a huge fan of Uki pies I haven't been there for a while and it's off the track a bit but they're damn good.

  • Try something different - 20000 Cows in Lismore. Run by hippies, pay what you want.

    • Hey sounds like a cool idea!
Unfortunately at this point in time ill probably be rolling through lismore during day time.

If at Port Macquarie, there are high-end restaurants like The Stunned Mullet, LV's on Clarence or Zebu's, but haven't been there yet.
But my favourites are Drury Lane Eatery (brunch food), Blue Whale (asian-mixed), Chow-Haus Street Kitchen (wings and burgers), and Urban Grain (boutique bakery). Everything else is overpriced and quite average in this town.

  • Grafton-Hanks, chicken splits, caramel tarts with cream, works sausage roll
    Fredericton Freddos pies
    Taree, charcoal chicken
    Maitland blakeneys pies

  • Like Scottish food? McDonalds are ubiquitous.

    7-eleven

  • Sizzler.
