The Ordinary, Good or Bad?

Does anyone tried a skin care brand called The Ordinary? I just saw it from Priceline, is it worth to try?

If you Google the brand, you'll find theres thousands of youtube reviews, thousands of review blogs online and probably hundreds of Reddit post on this brand.
It was so popular, that it was pretty much all sold out at launch. So what do you think?

  • Apparently it's pretty good, but sometimes it's just pretty good marketing :)

  • Yeah a couple of months ago there were rumours they were closing. So everyone stocked up (or maybe only I did). And then they announced they weren't closing after all…
First time user here and have found it pretty good. I use the buffet.

    • That was around September last year where the CEO was acting out a bit and according to a quick search he passed away in December

  • They're a brand under an umbrella group called Deciem.

The staff at their stores generally seem pretty helpful and they're reasonably priced compared to a lot of brands (not saying they don't have expensive items too). General consensus is that they're pretty good quality. I have the caffeine eye serum which helps a lot with not looking like a panda when I'm tired.

  • Yes I routinely use a couple of their products. They are inexpensive and effective.

  • My wife uses it and likes it. I personally prefer the $3 tubs of sorbolene.

  • I signed up to Adore beauty and indulged in a promo offer of two serums and their daily moisturiser. I love the serums. Moisturiser is not as light as the one I regularly use but it is unscented which is generally a benefit for me.

Together, the two serums and the moisturiser package cost less than a single product of my favourite regular brand, Mirenesse.

I will keep using the ordinary but I will also also buy my fave everytime it goes on sale.
