IKEA Bed Frames with Zzz Atelier Mattress

Just bought ZZZ Atelier mattress yesterday. And today ordered Songesand ikea frame.

Just realized mattress has one cm extra length and width. is it going to be issue? Did anybody using this combo?

I can cancel IKEA if someone says it doesn't work. Apparently all Australia based mattresses have this same length including sealy.

Thanks in advance.

  • it will probably squeeze in fine. but did you order the mid beam and slats? they are extra

    • thanks.i think they are included..bought ikea songesand.

it says all included for this price..i was looking for chest of drawers as well. this frame has inbuilt storage boxes..i can save some drawer space in bedroom.

Hahaha 2x expensive than the mattress

        • True, frame without boxes is cheaper. But I need to buy chest of drawers anyway. So opted for this. I don’t see any other better option.

          • @Indi24: Did the mattress fit the frame?

  • Ikea bedframes and mattresses are diff from standard ones. I bought an ikea mattress for guest room and it is too small for a standard frame that i got elsewhere. I would not try to squeeze ur mattress into the frame. But that is just me.It’ll damage it quicker…just my opinion

have had non Ikea mattresses on Ikea frames and currently have Ikea mattresses on non ikea frames. and yeah, ikea does cut them a little short for the mattresses, but frame wise still fit a non Ikea mattress

I've got a standard Au queen on an IKEA frame.

It fits really snugly to the point it's hard to tuck the blankets in at the end which is not helped by the weight of the mattress.

There is no risk of damage to the mattress or bed.

  • Ikea uses the same bed sizing globally (as far as I'm aware) whereas bed sizes varies between countries/ regions. Bear that in mind when you're buying sheets etc too.
