This is same price as Big W and already discussed in great length there. Instead of removing have moved to forums as you summarise unlocking steps, that may be of interest to members here.

cool. saves having to line up in the cold before big w opens!

EDIT: I sitll think it's a legit deal though, rather than forum, because if you're out in the country without big w nearby, or aus post, or an optus store, you can order through the website, with free delivery even.

It's cheaper than actually driving out to the stores and then finding out they're out of stock, and you've wasted your day!

That was my initial thought but I'm OK with Mod's decision

Only worried about people who generally doesn't check the forums / discussion and only check the first page of the Deals…

      • Seeing it is a red hot item at this price and in very short supply I agree :-)

  • no deal still $149 online

    • Clear your browser cache and retry

IMO it's worthy of front page status. Many Big W's and post offices are out of stock, many are struggling to get one..

I for one just ordered, thanks OP!

"Note: The credit card used to make your Pre-Paid product purchases must be shown to the courier at point of delivery as well as a 2nd form of photo identification. Deliveries will not be made without both these 2 items."

Anybody know how accurate this is?

    • Not my experience. Last time I ordered an Iphone 3GS and was just sleeping when they delivered it to my door (at 7.30am could you believe it?). My house-mate then took it on behalf of me and of course he didn't get any of the mentioned items. Still fine.

It's my personal experience though, may not work everytime…

Had a mobile phone delivered some time ago from Optus and what you describe was exactly the procedure. No hand over without the proper id!

  • @ ViperAMD

I never had this issue with delivery. I think this is just a procedure to stop identity theft

  • why is it marked as $99 and then when i press "BUY IT NOW" it changes to $149?

    I have cleared cache.

    • Try another browser. I switched to IE (from Chrome-it's been like shit recently) and worked fine.

  • I got mine, thanks. Easy…..Also got the 7" inch Laptop Soft Sleeve Case /Bag/ Pouch for USD3.31, as mentioned in the other posting.
    You can find it here-http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130431645558

  • SOld out :-(

  • FYI I ordered mine at 8am Wednesday morning on the $99 deal. Kept checking the tracking status which kept coming back as saying "Order Confirmation Number not found". Just called Optus online deliveries and they are now saying there is no stock and I'm on back order. They are expecting new stock "hopefully" next week.

  • Ordered a Optus Mytab from the Optus store Thursday 1 June 2011. $99 inc. delivery.
Just got a sms from optus store saying my order has been delayed, you will be contacted when a delivery date has been confirmed. Looks like Optus Store has oversold their product!

  • Got the same message twice, but with different ID! Strange!

  • I searched Good Guys website for various local stores, but all sold out.
Tried Warrnambool (being remote) and they had stock, which only came in today.
    Cost $97 + $15 courier fee = $112 to Melb.
Their delivery payment system is new and is only set up for larger items (ie whitegoods), therefore delivery was $60.
Called store and payed via credit card/phone. They are organising courier.

FYI - they have 3 more left in stock. Who wants one??

  • also ordered on wednesday and still waiting. Called up yesterday and was told they were out of stock.

Did anyone actually receive their order?

    • no, ordered on Optus.com.au on 1st June.

  • I received mine few days ago (Optus online)

Activated the sim, only received $0.89 call credit
    Doesn't say anything about 3GB data…

    Any thoughts?

  • got mine today!

  • Does any one knows how to unlock it?

  • Unlocking is easy, just look on the top of this page for the links…

3G tethering is only available once you upgrade to 2.2 and the connection to a PC is seamless using Ubuntu 11.04

Another good reason why the ZTE V9 kick ass! You can throw away the USB 3G key!

  • Im trying to get one.. still cant find anywhere in Sydney! Help!

  • i got mine 2 days ago from big w. Go online and just spam some postcodes and see where they have low stock, then call.

  • can anyone tell me if this optus tab got dual camera? and can we use skype video calling? thanks

    • No it doesn't have a front camera. I think you can still do video calling, but the other end won't be able to see you.

so i need mirror for the other end can see me?
