It was only just announced and EB Games is usually the priciest - I would advise waiting a few days until JB Hi-Fi/Amazon advertise it, I'd expect it to be cheaper (maybe not as a bundle though, but as OP said, not much value in there anyway)

How did they not release this as a pro?

    • +1

Yeah this seems like a really stupid decision.

      • Probably due to them last year having a celebratory PS4 Pro for overall console sales.

These kind of consoles are usually aimed at collectors first and foremost, rather pthan users. So they may have gone with (in my opnion) the more aesthetically pleasing design with the colour variant.

  • Another bundle on there eBay store if you got ebay Plus: PlayStation 4 1TB Console + 5 Games - PlayStation 4 - BRAND NEW $424.15

  • +1

Might start getting some PS+ and PS Exclusive game prices soon

    • Playstation released a YouTube video regarding the Days of Play event (June 7th - 17th) - it's got US prices, but it looks like in addition to this special edition PS4, they'll have a VR bundle and some game discounts

The prices in the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Nk5Gt5OkGk) as follows:
      - PlayStation Limited Edition Days of Play console at $299.99
      - VR Bundles starting from $249.99
      - God of War, Days Gone, and Spider-Man starting at $19.99
      - Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank starting at $9.99
      - PS4 DUALSHOCK 4 v2 controllers (including some of the new colours) at $39.99

Once again, these are US prices - but starting from the 7th, we'll probably see these price drops for the games in Australia

Yeah I saw that ad last night. Will probably be 25 for GoW and Spidey. Days Gone I reckon will be 39. Probably get PS+ at $60 or thereabouts, hopefully 55 again or lower.

I’d like for the Sunset Orange/Blueberry or some vibrant alternative to make an appearance in these deals.

        • +1

Yeah, I reckon you're on the money with those prices (pardon the pun), but we'll soon find out for sure

  • Would there be much trade in / discount applied if you buy this bundle but don't want 1 or more of the games?

    • Like $2 per game.

  • Days Gone at 20 bucks? That is a massive steal. Just recently finished it and the game is brilliant. The game is a visual feast with an Extremely tight story and very likeable characters. Can't wait for a sequel.

    • +1

It's starting at $20 plus that American prices. Will be quite a bit more Australian imo

  • There arent any other good deals around im looking to buy a ps4 so short of sitting on my hands hoping for a better deal wouldnt this be the best option at the moment?
Im coming of xbone so i havnt played any of these games!

    • +1

This deal is really only good if you're a collector. If you just want a PS4 just wait another week to see the discounts on regular PS4 slim

      • I'm a absolute rookie, but when I see "PS4" in JBHIFI or Amazon or whatever, are they the slim by default?

Or will it explicitly say Slim?

        • +1

all PS4 at retail now are 'slim'…. only the pro 4k capable one is bigger/will be designated as 'pro'

the original PS4 one is the bigger/phat OG model
