  • This doesn’t fit me. Do they have a version for adults?

    Was looking at getting this.
However, I've read that various studies & specialists recommend against these "jumpers".

Apparently they have the potential to stunt the infant's development or cause abnormal development.
(due to the baby "standing" before they are ready - slowing/changing their development of balance, posture, etc)

Don't dispute what you read. But I can't begin to imagine how long you'd need to leave your baby in one of these for those side effects to be true.

For my kids these were great for burning off excess energy and enjoying using their little legs. They only lasted a short time before needing the next stimulation. I highly recommend.

I think, like anything as a parent, you will hear horror stories so just need to use your discretion and judgement.

      Hi SomeRandom,

I had the same concerns as you and decided against purchasing one. Then we visited friends who had one, their baby was loving it and when we put our baby in it she loved it too. We bought a used one off Gumtree for $30 and we are so glad we did, she wanted us to hold her upright and bounce her all the time and it was getting exhausting. We used it from 6 - 9 months of age and she generally only spent 5 - 10 mins in it before she got bored. Once she could crawl she didn't want to go in it anymore. If our Maternal and Child Health Nurse has raised any concerns about our babies hips in her regular check ups then I wouldn't have got one but she is 14 months now and there was never a problem.

    • Thanks for the feedback Mooney & MissLouise

Maybe we'll give this a shot for short periods
Our daughter has only just reached 6 months.. so perhaps we'll get it now & use it sparingly in the short term.
