It's a green drive inside, but you'll never notice a difference with USB2.0!
I've got one, it's a great drive at a good price; however, unless you need one right now I'd be holding off for a USB3.0 unit.

That also requires having a computer which supports USB3 which at the moment most people will not have.
Just so you know USB 3.0 drives do perform significantly faster than USB 2.0 drives even if the connection being used is a 2.0 port.
At least, that is what I have observed between my USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 flash drives. I don't know if it's the same with normal HDDs.

Plus, it never hurts to future proof your purchases when the price difference is minimal or time is not an issue…patience can be a virtue! Besides, IIRC a USB3.0 card can be had for under twenty bills nowadays! ;)
