Awesome price, but I hope nobody clicks your link.

Ebay tracks where you post and everyone who clicks it - remove everything in your URL after the question mark to stop them tracking it, so here's your link with the personally identifiable tracking info removed:

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Viofo-A129-Duo-GPS-Dual-Lens-Das…

(the URL carries other info too, but the tracking is the most important thing to stop)

      • Edited with Jase2801s link

The tracking info is in the update - can you update the URL and remove everything after the question mark?

  • Do shoppingsquare sell a hardwire kit for it as well? Can't seem to locate it!

    • I was checking different sellers last night for this dashcam and found this seller called a1_electric_toys sells most of the accessories at good price

      • Yes, I got the 3 wire kit from that seller not too long ago, it arrived quickly so it must be an oz seller. I haven't installed the kit yet, but it looks like in the description.

I'm torn on using hardwire kits - they wear out the cars battery since starting batteries not designed for deep cycling.

I'm going to try use a Xiaomi 2C 20,000mAh USB battery pack from last weeks deal as the power source for my camera and leave it recording at 5FPS, then while the car is running, it can charge 12v/1.5a (18w) so hopefully fill up enough to provide standby energy.

It probably won't have enough time to recharge so I'm thinking I might take apart the battery pack and externally charge it while the ignition is on, at a rate around 0.5-0.8c using a constant current supply limited to about 4.1v to increase battery endurance.

  • Does anyone have a recommendation for a CPL filter for this?

      The official Viofo one

  • $176 does not includes shipping. Shipping extra $15. So shipped price is $191.

  • Free shipping is only for ebay plus!

    Damn, apus ripped me $10.

I'll avoid apus on the next purchase

  • Thanks. Was looking for this. But Being a non Ebay Plus Member and also wanting the hardwire kit as well, I am looking at the one below from a1_electric_toys for 215 AUD with the code PAPPY.

  • Was this the same dashcam that shopping square took ages to ship during their last deal?

  • Would a 64gb card be adequate for this dual band 1080p setup?

    • Yes - With 64gb from memory you'll get at least 2 hours of video at 30fps at the maximum bitrate with wifi disabled for both front and rear, but 128gb is the sweet spot for price/capacity if you're buying a microSD card today.
