Im thinking of buying couple "goty" edition games from ozgameshop and I know they all come a UK dlc codes. When I asked them if the code will work on my Aus psn account, they told me to make a UK account insted.
But on the other hand, I've done a basic search and couple results showed up saying UK codes should be redeemable on aus account since dlc codes are not country locked.
Which is it? Is UK code redeemable using AUS account? or are they country locked like ozgameshop suggests?
They are just advising as such out of an abundance of caution because there are some exceptions to the rule:
UK DLC codes generally work with an Australian PSN account because they're both managed by SIE Europe, use the European PlayStation Store and hence classified as the same region.
Generally, all DLC will work with games from the same region, though there is the slight exception where they release different versions of the same game in the same region.
The more important thing is to purchase or use DLC that is the same region as your game disc or digital copy.

This is because even though PS4 games aren't region-locked, DLC is tied to your regional store, and PSN Online IDs from other regions may not be able to log in to the PSN properly if you are abroad."
Most likely same guidance applied to other PS4 publishers.
