Acer Predator X34P 34" UWQHD IPS 100hz G-Sync Curved Gaming Monitor - Group Buy

GROUP BUY ANYONE?

I've had my eye on the x34p monitor for awhile, the new alternative is LG34GK950FB but it doesn't look like its coming to Australia anytime soon and even at the recent $800usd price it worked out about $1300au+ delivered.

The Acer Predator x34p price is dropping, new RRP $1200 (was $1800-$2k). Harvey norman has it at $1097, [eBay's lowest $940 to $970 with the coupons]

I think the magic ozbargain price would be $795 to $875. ($850 delivered)
Ive tried to organise a pre order price based on 30-50 units but need confirmation of how many would be keen before a price can be confirmed.

  • I've been waiting for that LG monitor too :(

It will be double the x34p if it arrived. Another seller just dropped to $940 delivered. I think the 795-880 price is realistic for a group buy. Need to get more people voting so they can come back with a deal :-)

Nah, not sure I could justify that price.

Shame it has g-sync to. Freesync'd be a fair bit better.

Hopefully you can pull enough people for that though mate.

  • I got one about 5 months ago but I'd grab another at that price as I'm after dual ultrawides and would like them looking the same.

awesome share it with your mates who will want one too. we prob need a good 50 yes votes for them to take this seriously.

G-Sync and 100hz makes the OP a gaming monitor.

      • Above has Freesync, which is arguably better when implemented well.

However, thanks to it only being 75hz and the freesync range sucking (48 - 75 I think), definitely not a gaming monitor.

Gsync, wider curve and 75hz vs 120hz

  • Oh man I've been eyeing this for ages to try and get it sub 1k and would totally be in on this, but just recently have had unexpected car trouble and need to spend money on that :(
Would be keen to see what you lot would be able to get it for

I would be in on this

Was waiting for the LG as well, but forget it, I'm in.

  • For that price I'd be interested.

  • I'm interested but cant dedicate currently

  • I was waiting for the LG but if this is $700-$800 I am definitely in. I might even get 2. The LG one is better but not worth twice the price for only 20% better specs.

  • Can someone confirm this boosts to 120hz on OC? I've seen most advertisers just flat out market this at a 120hz display.

    • +1

Yeah, mine OCs to 120hz no problems since day one.

  • Let's go boys!!

  • Would gtx-1660-ti enough to run this monitor?

  • This still happening?

  • +2

trying to make it happen. getting the 8:::::::::::D around.

  • Too late to join the group buy?

  • id be in too if not too late

  • I'd be in for 2 monitors provided it's a quality seller that is willing to offer replacements for faulty screens.

  • Did this end up going ahead?

  • I would be in for 1 if its does go ahead.

Its was a fail. Even prebuying them cash the brand would only match advertised prices (protecting its resellers which is fair enough). I think were about 3-6 months too early for this type of pricing.

The lowest I seen was $940 or so on ebay with coupons and theyre not selling quick so lets just hope another $100 gets shaved off the rrp so we see high $8xx pricing online.

Sorry for the disappointment from the two channels I thought something could of worked. At least resellers can now see the interest at the price point and one might come close and offer a deal. If something changes or I find a fresh $9xx deal will post here.

  • PLE has them at $999. but they are in WA and VIC. umart has them on and off at $999 +$20 freight for NSW.
    For now this will do.

  • Wait, has this happened yet?

I tried and failed to get a deal through the distributor.

But the resellers are dropping prices with eofy deals. Check ebay computer alliance its $917 delivered with ebay plus. I went through hn for $1020 figured $100 extra or so would make the 3 year exchanges / warranty easier to deal with.

      • aw :(
