Printer Recommendation for a Big Real Estate Office

Hi Legends, hoping I could get some advice for a printer. Not sure whether to take it on lease or buy and invest in one. Apparently if I take it on lease then they look after service and maintenance etc. It will be for a real estate office so a lot of printing, maybe with option to fax to people in the industry who still use fax and scan. Thanks in advance.

Lease from one of the big suppliers (there are plenty).
They look after the maintenance and you can focus on your core business, with the expenses as a tax deduction (as opposed to capital expenditure with depreciation).

      ^ this

We've had a Ricoh unit under one of these agreements for years - never been an issue. It even orders its own ink!

  • Are you IT?

Depending on your budget leasing a printer with a maintenance contract is probably your best option

  • If you buy or Lease they will offer servicing options including Toner supplies etc

  • Just lease one. I don't know of any companies that don't lease these now. Just note that some of the larger copiers require a 15A power point. We ran into this issue with some Canon's we got a number of years back. Look into a secure print solution too - ie you need to login in to the printer via a swipe card which releases the print job. These systems save a heap of paper from jobs just left on the copier. If you've got multiple machines you can walk up to any one, swipe your card and print your job at that machine, Canon's product is called uniFlow and we love it, just one print queue on the PC's too.

"Printer recommendation for a big real estate office"

I don't know if Printing a big real estate office is the best plan.

You would need really large sheets of paper, glue sticks and there would be
heaps of folding. You would need scissors to cut out windows and a door.

If if rained your business would be pulp and if not it could catch fire…

    Insurance might be an issue.
