Citizen Promaster GMT BJ7111-86L Super Titanium Eco-Drive Baselworld 2019 $449 (Express Post) + More @ Starbuy

270

Part of the StarBuy Long Weekend Flash Sale with a few more Citizen Promaster & Seiko Prospex & Astron bargains.

This little beauty is exclusively available through StarBuy in Australia and was previously available at $649 with an RRP of $900. This exclusive watch ships in Promaster Premium Packaging.

I've been exploring the options of a watch with a GMT function for work, and short of going down the super cheap Chinese GMT Master II homage route, this came up on my radar. Titanium case & bracelet, sapphire crystal, GMT and a 5 year local warranty.

Some great photos of it on this Chrono24 page

Thanks for the post! I' now very interested in the SSC701P1

  • like the idea of an eco drive divers in titanium at this price definitely appeals, but ease of reading the face which seems a bit busy , especially when wearing glasses makes me think twice.

OMG … Amazing deal .. almost bought direct from Japan a few weeks ago for $800

Does anybody know whether these watches are regularly sold at RRPs? Or are RRPs for watches mostly meaningless?

    • +1

RRPs are meaningless except for Swiss (luxury) watches which can sometimes increase in value. That’s not to say there are cheaper ways to get them - e.g Jomashop

    • Check on eBay and Google shopping

    • Citizen are a bit of a known inflator of RRPs

Great post. Great price and great vendor. Just picked up two Save the Ocean Seikos on the last deal, Starbuy were fantastic.

I really like this watch, great to see an eco drive GMT, titanium and sapphire crystal, perfect travel watch.

If I hadn't loaded up on the Seikos I'd be all over this. Still very tempted.

  • does anyone know can we still get GST claimed from airport if purchased from this vendor Starbuy?

    • +1

      From their FAQ page https://www.starbuy.com.au/faqs/products

All items within Australia are shipped with a tax invoice. All items listed on our website are GST inclusive. The invoice clearly shows the GST charged on the purchase as well as our name and ABN number.

Great price for a great Citizen watch. I tried this watch on my 6.25" wrist at the Yodobashi Camera, Tokyo. It fits perfectly and it was little more expensive than this price. It has a limited edition which was released for the rugby world cup.

  • Ticks all the boxes but I also was not a fun of the polluted face. The aqualand is much better but without sapphire and ti. No deal :(
