Best hidden camera detector you can recommend?

I have done quite a bit of research and the choices are overwhelming.

Perhaps you can recommend one that is value for money , or the best one that can give peace of mind?

      Given reality why would you think they are not?

      The Australian Government is openly attacking journalists as it listens and watches content and metadata of every single citizen while the morons keep voting for them.

      Given this is the behavior out in the open I would hate to know what the pigs are doing while hiding.

        That is all true, but I'm not aware that Big Bother is planting cameras in peple's homes just yet. Besides with every phone and most PC's having cameras and mics built in they wouldn't need to plant extra ones.

    I've used a few but nothing really beats a manual sweep by someone who knows what they are looking for. The only one that I remember using that retails to the general public is the Acoustimeter, model AM-10 . If you know how to read it, it does an ok job at sniffing out wireless surveillance cameras and spy bugs.

    Edit: Might be out of your budget. Didn't realise it was that expensive😲 I would have taken better care of it if I had known.

        Depends. Have you used an EMF meter before? Would you know how to interpret the readings/beeping sounds?

          No , I have not never used on before. I heard it has a pretty steep learning curve.

            @Lurker: It takes a fair bit of practice and tbh, I'm probably not very good at it. I only ever use it when I'm on business trips overseas as my employer is pretty anal about security and leaks.

            I should probably also add that I've never personally found anything of interest: no mics in my bedroom or cameras in the shower. I do usually stay at reputable institutions though and have been known to ask to change room if I'm feeling particularly paranoid.

            I would avoid airBnB's if I was you. Perhaps leaving the hot water running until the mirrors fog up in the bathroom before undressing could be a good practice? A foggy vision of a naked woman would be worth less than a clear one, I would assume.

            I would also avoid having sex with people you don't trust or make sure that they are not recording while you're at it. But if that's your kink, use your phone to record and not theirs. That way you have the video in your possession.

        Ghosts I am not afraid of.

        It is the twisted human beings who like to invade my privacy with their perverted voyeruism that I need to guard against :)
