I'm from the UK living in Australia, my feet are a 7.5UK in Nike & Vans and a 8UK in Adidas
Does anybody know Why do most shops here don't stock half sizes?
I tried to buy some new Old Skools from the Vans shop and the guy told me nowhere does half sizes in Australia
Also is there any places that stock half sizes?
Most of all my half sized shoes come from eBay via international sellers since no AU stores stock half sizes.
Most dedicated shoe shops have half sizes like the athletes foot while places that also sell clothes usually dont due to floor space
We don't do things by halves here in Australia
Usual crap retail experience in Australia … limited in store stock to cut costs … customers have to go online to get what they want … retailers cry poor that online is taking all their sales.

Never had a problem getting half sizes for myself in-store. Colorado, Oliver Boots, Brooks, Merrells, Ascent, I have bought all these sizes in half size in-store.
If you go to some budget store and expect them to hold every possible size, you might be disappointed.
Also in some brands, the half sizes are just a bit wider, and not longer.
I've never had a problem getting half sizes. Maybe it's specific to Vans?
Why not buy them on the online from England?

you know what bothers me the most? you can't buy a shoe in one size, and then the other in a different size. they HAVE to sell them in a pair.
totally screws people with a slightly larger foot than the other.
Half sizes only increase width of the shoe, not length. This is true for sports shoes - can't comment on anything else.
So it seems. I only found that out a couple of years ago. I laboured for many decades under the misapprehension that half sizes were halfway in length between sizes- D'OH!

For formal leather shoes, there are lots of brand doing half sizes, such as ascent, Helios footwear.
