570

Carmex lip balm classic 10g squeeze tubes are in this week's Woolworths catalogue for just $2.90 (save $2.09). This is the best price I can ever remember seeing.

Not quite as good value, but it's also available in a 7.5g jar for $2.95

If anyone ever travels to the USA, a 3 pack of carmex tubes is only USD$5.99.

    • +3

      Woolworths price $2.9 / 1 tube x 3 = $8.7 less 5% eGift card discount = $8.265

      US price $5.99 USD (+ VAT) = $8.6145 AUD (XE.com rate) + VAT

      What a deal?

You're right but these singular tubes are not half price often enough. This is the first time I've seen it half price. Great deal

        • But it's not half price..

Is Carmex anything like Blistex? I made the mistake of using Blistex a few times in the UK during a winter there and found it actually dried my lips out after the initial relief. Seems it contains the similar ingredients of Camphor, Phenol and Menthol which end up drying the lips after a while and makes sure you keep having to reapply, clever marketing indeed. Have a read of https://lifehacker.com/know-which-ingredients-in-lip-balm-ac…

I reckon you can't go past a tube of Lucas Pawpaw ointment for chapped lips.

    • Thanks!

Price match and 10% off the difference at Chemist Warehouse?

    • its what i did ~ Brisbane CBD woolworths sold out - walk down the mall

This stuff was pretty much the only thing I could find that helped with the painfully dry lips associated with taking Roaccutane (isotretinoin) for acne. Honestly would've paid $10 a tube at the time, so this is a bargain

  • This stuff tastes revolting and contaminates the food you eat with its flavour. So I guess it comes with bonus diet assistance.

I like the taste and occaisonally squirt it into my mouth directly for an afternoon snack

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I price beat at Chemist Warehouse and got it for $2.69 each 😁
