AmEx Priority Pass from 1/8/19 No Longer Use for Restaurants

From my Amex dashboard:-
"From 1 August 2019, your Priority Pass benefit will be limited to lounge access only. Non-lounge airport experiences in the form of credits for restaurants, cafes and bars will no longer be available. For a list of available lounges, please visit americanexpress.com.au/platinumlounges"
At specific airport restaurants you could get $36 credit. But no longer From 1 August 2019. It will be interesting to see if this applies to all Priority Passes or just those issued through Amex.

  • Not showing up on my Dashboard. Which AMEX card do you have?

  • Amex Platinum Charge card. I also just received an email that says the same.

    • Hmmmm, I've got the Platinum Charge and not seeing this, nor have I received an email. I guess it's about to come though :( that's disappointing.

  • Bummer - was considering signing up another card for this benefit. Wonder if this trend will spread to LoungeKey? Credit card benefits are thinning out substantially

  • AusBT broke the news on this last Friday.

  • it comes up for my Platinum Reserve card as well

  • +1

Sack the $1450 Amex card for a lower level and grab a dedicated Priority Pass membership for less than half the cost (if lounge membership is that important)

I have cancelled my Amex after all their recent devaluations
